About us
VTI Denmark through its
UK sales office VTI UK, has been successfully supplying customers
throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland for more than
ten years with keenly priced quality pine panels and furniture
components.
Vinderup Traeindustri A/S
was started 26 years ago by owner Flemming Nielsen in response
to a need from the Danish furniture trade for high quality
laminated pine tabletops. Having found his production was
well received a number of customers asked him to make pine
panels for their furniture ranges.
Since then customer numbers
have grown and VTI has become the largest laminated pine panel
manufacturer in Denmark, if not the world! Currently VTI produces
over 2,000,000m2 of panels per annum, equivalent to 500 football
pitches! On a week-to-week basis this equates to over 25 forty-foot
trucks per week. Production is exported throughout Europe
and beyond, with regular shipments going as far afield as
Japan and the Far East.
Exports to the UK and Europe have grown significantly over
the years due to an enviable delivery record and flexibility
to individual buyer’s needs. From one pallet to a full
load, the same care is given to customers’ orders.
Meeting agreed delivery dates is important to VTI and one
person in the Danish office is responsible to see all orders
are loaded correctly and on time. Deliveries to the UK are
then progressed after loading by VTI’s English sales
office.
Unlike most suppliers from Scandinavia VTI can load, from
date of order, one pallet or more of stock panels and deliver
direct to the UK customer within four-to-seven days. There
is no sacrifice to service as deliveries leave twice weekly
from the factory.
This ex-stock service has
proved to be very popular with buyers, who realise their own
stock holding can be greatly reduced thus improving cash flow
and releasing costly storage space for additional production
and/or storage of finished furniture. Ordering is much simpler
and the leadtime required to maintain a steady flow of supplies
is greatly reduced. With any sudden upturn in orders VTI can
respond very quickly.
In addition to stock panels,
a large part of production is devoted to cut-to-size and fully
machined furniture components using the very latest CNC, double
end tenoner and multi-boring facilities.
Sylvan Products, the manufacturing
and sales company for the furniture components sets, has been
at the forefront of this market for many years, supplying
customers with either standard or made to measure components.
